Teen charged with murder of Nathaniel Shani in Harpurhey

Officers from GMP Major Incident Team have charged a teenager with the murder of Nathaniel Shani.
A 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been remanded to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court today (Monday 18 September 2023).
A further hearing will take place at Manchester Crown Square Court tomorrow.
The charge relates to the fatal stabbing of Nathaniel Shani on Friday 15 September 2023 on Tavistock Square in Harpurhey.
A 13-year-old boy who was also arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail.
