Dedicated officers are continuing to investigate two incidents believed to be connected that happened in Hazel Grove.
Both assaults took place on the morning of Saturday 6 April 2024 at around 4am on the A6 in Hazel Grove, Stockport at the crossroad junction of London Road, Hazel Grove and School Street.
The two male victims, aged in their 30s, one wearing a pink hooded top, and another in a navy-blue bubble coat, both required hospital treatment. One man suffered life changing injuries.
No arrests have been made at this stage and officers are looking to speak to two men in connection with these incidents.
One male is in his early 30s, 6 foot tall of medium build, short dark coloured hair on top, shaved at sides, wearing a t-shirt, dark tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe down both legs and logo on left thigh in front of the pocket.
The other male is described as being in his late 20s, 5’ 10’’ tall of thin build, short dark coloured hair on top, shaved at sides, wearing only dark shorts and dark footwear.
Detective Constable John Silk from our Stockport district said; “After initial enquiries and exploring some lines of evidence we are now in a position to appeal to the local community and any eyewitnesses to the attacks.
“Especially anyone who may have some dashcam or doorbell CCTV footage that could help with the investigation, whether that be for one of the assaults or both.
