Five people charged after robberies of two teenagers in Ashton-under-Lyne

Five people have been charged after a 13-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy were robbed in Ashton-under-Lyne earlier this week.

• Abdul Qadir (22/02/2006) was charged with two counts of robbery and one count of attempted robbery
• Two 17-year-old boys, a 15-year-old and 14-year-old boy were all charged with two counts of robbery and one count of attempted robbery
• One of the 17-year-old boys was also charged with possession of a bladed article

They have all been remanded into custody before their next court appearance today (Wednesday 24 April 2024).

These charges are a result of our officers responding to reports of a robbery at around 9.15pm on Monday 22 March 2024.

Both victims had items taken from them including mobile phones and airpods. One victim was forced to remove his trainers which were also stolen.
