A male has been trying door handles and attempting to enter people’s houses in Levenshulme and North Reddish.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary. He remains in police custody.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed an incident or may be a victim and not yet reported it to the police to come forward.
They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including CCTV, Ring doorbell or mobile phone footage.
