This weekend we have arrested two 16-year-old boys on suspicion of robbery and currently remain in custody.
This is after officers received a report that a robbery had taken place on Stockport Road in Longsight, Manchester at around 10pm on Friday 12 April 2024.
Detective Inspector Natalie McDonald from our City of Manchester district said; “Thankfully injuries sustained by the victim during the robbery weren’t serious and after conducting initial enquiries we have made arrests in connection with this.
“We take these kinds of reports extremely seriously and our action so far means we are now able to appeal to the local community for further information.
“The incident happened when an arrangement was made to sell a scooter, so we are keen to obtain any eyewitness accounts in the area last night and any doorbell or dashcam footage.
“If anyone has additional information that may help, they asked to call us direct on 0161 856 3388 quoting incident 3474 of 12/04/2024. Alternatively, details can be passed on anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
