Two teenagers have been arrested following an investigation into a serious assault at Stockport Interchange.
A 65-year-old man is still in a critical condition following the incident at around 9.45pm on Tuesday 23 April 2024.
Officers have now arrested two 14-year-old boys on suspicion of assault and they remain in custody for questioning.
Detective Inspector Shifa Chowdhury said: "This was an horrific attack that has left the victim in hospital with serious injuries.
"Our enquiries have been swift since the incident including an extensive review of CCTV to identify and trace those we believe responsible.
"We'd also like to thank members of our community who have been in touch following our appeal with vital pieces of evidence.
