Officers were called at 11.30pm on Sunday 4 August 2024 to reports of an injured male on Lumn Road in Hyde, Tameside.
We attended the address and found a man in his 20s in the road with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains.
The victim was driven at whilst on the street and officers received reports of males wearing balaclavas with shovels in the street.
Detectives are now appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the incident to come forward.
