Four men have been charged following disorder and an assault in Piccadilly Gardens on Saturday

Over the last 96 hours, police have been relentlessly pursuing those believed to be involved in violent disorder and an assault in Piccadilly Gardens on Saturday 3 August.

Andrew Phillips (05/09/1996) of Ripon Crescent, Stretford, has been charged with violent disorder and assault.

Liam Ryan (17/7/1996) of Thirkleby Royd, Bradford, has been charged with violent disorder.

David Green (12/04/1983) of Hamilton Street, Stalybridge, has been charged with violent disorder.

Shaun Holt (12/4/1982) of Oak Road, Stockport, has been charged with violent disorder and assault.

They have all been remanded into custody to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court today (Wednesday 7 August).

Yesterday afternoon, in connection with this incident, we arrested a 30-year-old man from Stockport on suspicion of violent disorder. He remains in police custody.
