Officers are appealing for information following reports of a robbery on the morning of Saturday 9 November, on the border between Salford and Manchester.
At around 6.30am, a 70-year-old man walking home from a 24-hour store in Cheetham Hill was followed along Bury Old Road before being attacked from behind on Upper Park Road.
His wallet was taken from his during the incident and he suffered minor injuries.
Investigating officers have now released an image of a man they would like to speak to, as it is believed he could help with their enquiries.
