Chief Superintendent Mark Dexter has taken over as Trafford’s newest district commander and is dedicated to ensuring Neighbourhood Policing continues to grow from success to success.
Ch Supt Mark Dexter started his career in Longsight in 1999 and has experience from working in a variety of roles across the force, with particular focus in Specialist Operations where he served as branch commander. From this he has developed as a leader and gained experience in leading large teams, setting a clear direction and purpose.
Ch Supt Mark Dexter is committed to strengthening the resolve to tackle neighbourhood crime and ensuring that officers are out and about positively engaging with and creating strong links with the community. Furthermore, he will work hard alongside Trafford Borough Council for the protection of vulnerable people and will continue to build supportive relationships to make sure that the people of Trafford are able to go about their day safely and with confidence.
Chief Superintendent Mark Dexter said: “I am committed to serve as your district commander. Trafford is a vibrant area, and I am keen to get around and speak to as many people in the community as possible.
“Being involved with, and having strong connections, with the community is a vital area of policing. I want people to feel comfortable to approach us and to know that their concerns are being heard and plans will be put in place to address them. I believe that the community and police are at their best when they work together.
“I am working alongside an incredible team, and I know that each of the officers in my team are more than ready to step up against any challenges that are presented to us.
“I pledge to continually seek out ways that we can make improvements in delivering for the community to become a police force that Trafford deserves and is proud of.”
