We are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery in Salford

Shortly before 10pm last night (10 December), we responded to reports of an armed robbery at a premises on Chandos Grove, in Salford. 

It’s believed that a lone male carrying a suspected firearm, walked into a shop and pointed a weapon at two members of staff making demands for money before making off.

We are appealing for any witnesses to come forward who were in the premises at The time, or who may have seen something, or have any information regarding this incident which could help us with our investigation. 

Detective Inspector Zoe Marsden, of GMP Salford, said: “These people were simply going about their daily business and did not deserve to go through such a terrifying experience. 

“We will not tolerate those who cause fear and intimidation in our communities, and who steal from our businesses.
