Officers are appealing for information in connection with a robbery in Oldham.
At around 2:30pm on Wednesday 31 January 2024, a victim was pushed and had her car keys stolen whilst walking to her car on Raleigh Close in Oldham. The suspect then got into the victim's car - a silver Corsa - and drove away in the direction of Henshaw Street in Oldham.
The suspect has been described as a white male, approximately in his 30’s, bald, of medium build and height and wearing dark tracksuit bottoms and a hoodie.
Today (1 February 2024), the victim's car was recovered by police on Plumpton Lane Oldham, off Sheepfoot Lane. There are indications that it may have been driven erratically due to the damage found on the vehicle.
Police are now appealing to the public for information in connection with the robbery on Rayleigh Close. Police are also appealing to anyone who may have seen the Silver Corsa being driven erratically - or its being abandoned on Plumpton Lane - to make a report.
Anyone with information or footage - including CCTV, mobile or dashcam - should call 101 quoting log 2076 of 31 January 2024
