Greater Manchester Police are continuing to investigate a theft of parcel that took place on Blackburn Road in Astley Bridge on Wednesday 20 December 2023.
Officers conducting enquiries have now identified a man they would like to speak to in connection with this as they believe he has vital information that could help.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
Sergeant Zach Keneally from GMP’s Bolton district said; “We are continuing to investigate this incident after it was reported to us a few weeks after due to it being a surprise present and the victim unaware it was sent until family made contact.
“After exploring lines of evidence, including CCTV and conducting door-to-door enquiries we have identified a person we would like to identify and speak to in connection with this incident.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 0161 856 5820 or 101 quoting incident 1003 of 14/01/2024. Alternatively, details can be passed on anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
