Greater Manchester Police are continuing to investigate a further shoplifting incident that occurred on Maple Road in Brooklands, Manchester on Saturday 28 October 2023 at around 5pm.
After conducting additional lines of enquiries, officers now want to appeal to the public for further details and speak to this man who they believe has vital information that could help.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
PC Cara Bancroft of GMP’s City of Manchester South district said; “We are still actively looking into this incident which we believe is unconnected to a similar incident a week later.
“In these cases, it looks like they have been targeted attacks where hundreds of pounds of stock have been taken.
“In particular we have identified a man we would like to speak to in connection with this.
“As a neighbourhood team keeping businesses, customers and the wider community safe is still a key priority and we will continue to provide the necessary support.
“If anyone has any information that may help us, they are asked to call 101 quoting incident 1956 of 29/10/2023. Alternatively, details can be passed on anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
