Shortly before 2.30pm on Thursday 8 February 2024, a car was travelling on Hollins Road, Oldham near to the Oasis Academy before it collided with a pedestrian, a 14-year-old child.
The vehicle failed to remain at the scene.
The child suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Inquiries are on-going into the circumstances of the collision, and officers want to hear from any witnesses or residents nearby, who may have seen anything, or captured anything on CCTV or dash cam footage at the time.
