On Wednesday 10 January 2024, a 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
Vincent Place (23/11/1981) of no fixed abode has been charged with:
- three counts of shoplifting
- one count of business burglary
- one count of possession of an offensive weapon
He has been charged and remanded in police custody to appear at Stockport Magistrates Court today (Thursday 11 January 2024).
The charges relate to a joint investigation by Bolton’s Neighbourhood Crime Team and Bolton South Neighbourhood team in relation to an investigation into a series of shoplifting instances earlier this month and a business burglary.
Detective Sergeant Carla Deighton of Bolton's Neighbourhood Crime Team said: “We continue to work quickly to investigate all burglaries and shoplifting instances thoroughly and effectively to ensure we ultimately achieve justice for victims. I hope that this arrest and charge demonstrates our dedication to taking reports of burglaries very seriously.
