A second man has been charged today (Tuesday 23 January 2024) with the murder of Badri Issa.
Kevell Blake (31/12/2003) of Bromshill Drove in Cheetham Hill was charged with murder and has been remanded into custody to appear at Tameside Magistrates Court on Wednesday 24 January 2024.
The investigation was launch on Wednesday 25 October 2023, shortly before 8pm, when police were called to reports of a man being stabbed on Moss Lane East in Moss Side, Manchester.
Emergency services attended the scene and saw that the 22-year-old victim had suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital. Sadly, he died later that evening.
The victim was later confirmed to be 22-year-old, Badri Issa. A newly graduated student who “was looking forward to starting a career in mechanical engineering.”

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Naismith of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: "Today’s charging of our last remaining suspect marks a significant step towards delivering justice for Badri’s family and loved ones. This tragic murder deeply affected the victim's family, his loved ones and the local community and our thoughts are with them as they navigate this challenging day.
"In October 2023, we initially charged a 21-year-old man with murder. Identifying the final suspect was crucial before proceeding to court. Thanks to the collaboration of the public, Badri’s family, and colleagues at Greater Manchester Police, we've successfully charged the second suspect in connection with Badri’s murder.
"This by no means we have stopped our investigative efforts and we are still continuing to ask the public for further information in relation to this tragic murder. If you have any information that could further assist our investigation, please come forward. Each piece of information brings us closer to answers that Badri’s family desperately needs.
