Our officers from the City of Manchester Neighbourhood Crime Team have now arrested three men after a robbery took place on Market Street in the city centre on Sunday 16 June 2024 at around 3am.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was attacked with a bottle but thankfully didn’t suffer any life-threatening injuries following the robbery.
This is after officers identified the suspects this morning (Tuesday 23 July 2024) and the men aged 18, 18 and 29 remain in custody for questioning at this time.
Detective Inspector Natalie McDonald said; “This is an example of our ongoing work into investigations where we continue to track and trace suspects by utilising a number of methods.
“Alongside our proactive patrols and briefings, we managed to identify and then locate three people we strongly believe are linked to this incident.
“Our work now is trying to obtain further evidence to ensure we progress the investigation and provide the necessary support to the victim.
“Anyone with information that may help with our specific enquiries around this incident is asked to call 101 quoting incident 440 of 16/06/2024. Alternatively, details can be passed on anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
