On Tuesday 9 July 2024 at around 5:30pm, officers received an alarm activation of an armed robbery taking place on Worsley Road in Eccles.
No arrests have been made at this time and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and identify those responsible.
A member of the public received injuries during the incident which are thankfully not life threatening.
Detective Inspector Zoe Marsden from our City of Salford investigation team said; “Since we were alerted to the incident yesterday evening we have been working hard to identify all available lines of enquiry to find those responsible.
“This was a serious criminal act that took place where they had no regard for the safety of the staff or members of the public who were in the premises at the time.
“We are appealing to anyone in the area at the time who may know or have witnessed something, including any relevant dashcam footage to come forward in confidence.
“If you do have anything that could help us, please get in touch direct by calling 0161 856 5194 or 101 quoting incident 2629 of 09/07/2024.”
