Charges have been brought following the 2022 murder of Headley “Barry” Thomas

Joshua Carroll (06/05/1995) of no fixed abode has been charged with murder.

Joshua Carroll will appear at Manchester Magistrates Court later today (Tuesday 11 June). 

At approximately 2.30pm on Monday 12 September 2022, Barry Thomas was found unresponsive in Penn Park in Old Trafford 

Barry, 51, was taken to hospital but sadly died of his injuries on Sunday 2 October 2022.

A murder investigation was launched, which included a park-wide appeal after the attack, in which he was found next to a park bench.
