We have arrested a 17-year-old boy for possession of an offensive weapon and controlled drugs in Brinnington, Stockport.
Neighbourhood officers on patrol in Brinnington on Tuesday 11th June stopped a vehicle driving suspiciously. They conducted a stop and search and discovered he had controlled drugs on his person.
Officers later searched his home address under Section 18 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act and recovered a further offensive weapon.
The teenager is now under strict conditions to not enter the SK5 area of Stockport.
Policer Inspector Barber said: “Officers have been working hard to keep the community safe and tackle criminal behaviour. This is an example of using highly effective stop and search powers to keep the public and community a safer place for all.
“This is a dangerous weapon that has now, thankfully, being seized. Possessing such items will not be tolerated in any area of Stockport.”
