Two men charged with Section 18 assault and possession of an offensive weapon in relation to an incident on Edge Hall Road in Orrell on Thursday 27 June 2024

Ryan Sweatman (22/11/2005) of Linden Avenue, Orrell and Deacon Hart (21/05/2005) of Viscount Road, Wigan, have been charged with the following;
- Section 18 assault
- Possession of an offensive weapon
They have been remanded into custody ahead of a scheduled appearance at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Tuesday 2 July 2024.
These charges relate to an incident which happened on Edge Hall Road in Orrell, Wigan on Thursday 27 June 2024, which saw a man in his 70s taken to hospital with serious injuries following a reported stabbing.
