Today (26/03/2024), officers from GMP’s Force Critical Wanted Unit joined forces with Police Scotland to execute a warrant in the Tulloch area of Perth.
The warrants form part of an ongoing investigation by Bolton CID with support from the serious crime division following two firearm discharges in Bolton; one on the 17th of March and one on the 21st of March 2024.
A 27-year-old man and a 23-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of assault and firearms offences. A 17-year-old boy was also arrested for breach of bail.
All three remain in police custody for questioning.
Detective Superintendent Joseph Harrop, Head of Serious and Organised Crime, said: "Firearms have no place on our streets and our team are vigorous in their response to stamping out this type of crime, ensuring the public are safe and also feel safe.
“Investigations into incidents involving firearms are robust, utilising specialists resources to understand the circumstances that led to violence erupting, arrest suspects, and build case files to support prosecution.
"Today's arrests in relation to the two discharges in Bolton demonstrates the force's commitment to moving investigations involving firearms forward at pace - and we would like to thank our Police Scotland Colleagues for supporting us on this.”
