At around 11.50pm on Wednesday 28 February 2024, officers on patrol in Bury stopped a Skoda Superb on Hornby Street in Fernhill.
Following a search of the suspect and his vehicle under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, officers located a quantity of both Class A drugs and Class B drugs, believed to be cocaine and amphetamine, as well as £3,000 in cash.
The man in question, a 60-year-old, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs and acquire/use/possess criminal activity.
He was later bailed pending further investigation.
Detective Sergeant Craig Murray, from Bury’s Operation Revoke team, said: “This is another example of proactive policing being undertaken by the Operation Revoke team.
“This arrest underlines our commitment in tackling serious and organised crime in Bury which ultimately provides the local community with confidence that GMP are dealing with prominent issues across Greater Manchester.”
