Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team have secured a charge for murder following the tragic death of Christopher Hanley at the weekend.
Marvin Sutton (13/03/1989) of no fixed abode has been charged with murder. He has been remanded into custody ahead of an appearance at Tameside Magistrates today (Tuesday 19 March).
A 43-year-old man remains on bail on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident from the morning of Saturday 16 March when reports were received of an unresponsive male on Olympic Street in Manchester. Anyone with further information that may help with enquiries are asked to call 101 quoting incident 1172 of 16/03/2024.
