In February 2022, a 24-year-old woman, later named to be Alisha Apostoloff-Boyarin from Ashton Under Lyne, was reported missing by her family and an investigation was launched to locate Alisha.
In March 2022, officers arrested a 59-year-old man on suspicion of murder but was later bailed pending further enquiries.
Following further enquiries from Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team, a 61-year-old man has now been charged for Alisha’s murder.
David Alex Taylor (26/04/1962) of Oak Avenue, Willington in Durham has been remanded into custody.
He will next appear at Manchester Crown Court today (14/3/2024).
