Officers are appealing for information following reports of a stabbing in Salford last night.
At around 8.35pm on Friday 8 March, officers responded to reports of a stabbing in Spa Grove, Little Hulton.
Two men, aged 24 and 32, were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening or changing.
No arrests have been made and an investigation is currently ongoing.
Detective Sergeant Ed Hooley, from GMP’s Salford district, said: “This was an incredibly concerning incident and I firstly want to reassure people that we believe this to be a targeted attack, with no threat to the wider public.
“Our officers are working at pace to piece together the facts of the incident and currently remain at the scene as they carry out their enquiries. Residents will see an increased presence in the area over the next few days. Those officers will be able to discuss any queries or concerns you may have.
“We are now appealing for the public’s help as we work to identify those involved. If you were around the scene at the time and saw anything – or have CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage you think is relevant – please do get in touch with us. No matter how big or small, it could contribute greatly to our investigation.
“If you have any information, you can share this with us by calling 101 or 0161 856 5049, by visiting gmp.police.uk, or by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111. The log number to quote will be 3152 of 08/03/24."
