Oliver Gilchrist (26/12/2003) of Richmond Close, Whitefield, has been charged with section 18 assault, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon. He has been remanded until his next court appearance on Friday April 19 2024.
On Monday March 11 2024, police were called to reports of a stabbing on Malton Avenue in Whitefield where a male was found to have injuries that were not life-threatening.
Detective Chief Inspector Thomas Willis of Bury District said: “Our investigation is progressing well – we have made a total of 7 arrests for the operation with our first charge coming today.
“Clearly this investigation is far from over and, as officers continue to carry out extensive enquiries, we are still appealing to members of the public with information which could assist us to share it.
