Detectives are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault that occurred on 23 April 2024 at around 9:40pm near Stockport Bus Interchange on Swaine Street in Stockport.
The victim, a 65-year-old man, was subjected to serious injuries.
During the course of the investigation, two 14-year boys were arrested in connection with the incident and have since been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses and are particularly interested in speaking to a female who was at the bus interchange prior to the incident. It is important to highlight she is a witness not a suspect in the investigation. She is described as a white female, of slim build, approximately 17 years old, with long dark blonde hair, tied up in a pony tail. She was wearing a black north face coat, grey polo neck t-shirt, cream pants and black boots.
The female boarded bus 313 from Bus Stand S. If you believe you may be the person described or you believe you know them, please make contact with police as soon as possible.
