Anti-social behaviour is something Greater Manchester Police’s officers will never tolerate – and this morning (1 May 2024), Harpurhey’s Neighbourhood Team conducted a triple warrant strike to tackle reports of ASB in the area.
Starting at around 5.30am, officers entered three addresses – on Rudd Street, Moorsholme Avenue, and Ashley Lane – following reports of criminality within the wider area.
Anti-social behaviour can encompass many things and include various strands of criminality, including drug-dealing, drug-using, criminal damage, littering, off-road bike usage and other acts that can provide a nuisance to local communities.
During the course of the morning, four people were arrested for various offences. This included:
Inspector Dan Pickavance, from the Harpurhey team, said: “Anti-social behaviour can cause a whole range of issues for local communities and I want local residents to know that we do listen, we do review, and we will act. If you have nightmare neighbours, people causing a constant nuisance, or feel like you have a problem in your own area, please do get in touch with us, as we are determined to clamp down where we can.
“Officers in the Harpurhey area are constantly building intelligence to ensure that those responsible for crimes are punished appropriately, and we ask that you please assist us as we continue to tackle anti-social behaviour.
“You can attend a local PACT meeting, report information to 101 or via gmp.police.uk, or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
