Officers are appealing for information following reports of a fight between two groups of people in Wythenshawe.
At around 4.25pm on Sunday 12 May, we were called to a disturbance on Floatshall Road, Manchester.
It is additionally believed that a car was used to attack someone during the incident, which saw five people receive injuries. None are believed to be life-threatening or changing.
Two men, aged 25 and 31, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause GBH. They both remain in custody for questioning.
Enquiries are ongoing and detectives are now asking for anyone with any information with regards to the incident to please come forward.
In particular, officers are seeking any relevant doorbell, dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage to get in touch.
Detective Sergeant Craig Barry, from GMP’s Manchester CID, said: “Violence like this has no place in our community. It is shocking that some people would fight like this in broad daylight on a busy residential street – something that law-abiding locals should never have to put up with.
“We are asking for anyone with information to please get in touch as we continue with our investigation – this includes any witnesses who may have seen the incident, or anyone with footage from around the time it happened.”
To report information, you can contact GMP via gmp.police.uk or 101, quoting log number 2404 of 12/05/24.
Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity, Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
