Officers from Operation Venture, tasked with preventing, deterring, and tackling knife crime, and associated offences, made two arrests yesterday (Monday 13 May 2024) in Bolton based on public information.
We were alerted to drug dealing taking place from a vehicle on Kay Street and quickly responded, stopping the vehicle in tow. Two men, both aged 20, were stopped, and approximately 65 small bags of cocaine, four phones, and a small amount of cash were seized.
The two arrested remain in our custody on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. The vehicle has also been seized after it was found to have no insurance.
This is an example of what community information allows us to do – take action against local issues blighting communities.
Sceptre is a national intensification operation focussed on knife crime, and is running throughout this week (Monday 13 - Sunday 19 May 2024).
