Between 11.30pm and midnight on 26 August 2024, inside a pub on Bridge Street in Manchester city centre, a man in his 40s suffered a serious head injury believed to have been caused by glass after he was approached by another man in the pub.

Detectives have released an image of a man they wish to speak to as part of their enquiries, and encourage anyone with information to get in touch with police.

Detective Constable Thomas McQuade of GMP’s City Centre Criminal Investigation Department, said "This incident occurred some time ago but we have been exhausting all available lines of enquiry since the assault to establish the full circumstances of this incident.
"We wish to speak to the man pictured as part of our enquiries and I urge anyone with information about his identity to get in touch with us as we believe it will significantly help our investigation."
