At around 1pm on Wednesday 20 November 2024, sadly a fatal collision occurred on Albion Way in Salford at the roundabout with M602 and A57 Regent Road between an HGV and a cyclist.
Emergency services attended but despite their best effort, tragically due to the injuries sustained the cyclist, a 25-year-old man, passed away a short time later.
No arrests have been made and the driver of the HGV stayed at the scene to assist us with our enquiries.
Detective Constable Steven Pennington from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit said; “Since the incident we are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this to please come forward if we haven’t already spoken to you.
“We are especially keen to speak to anyone who has CCTV footage, including dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area at the time of the collision and the moments leading up to it.
“This is to ensure we understand fully the circumstances and can bring the answers to the family and friends who are having to come to terms with losing their loved one.”
