During the early hours of yesterday morning, Wednesday 16 October 2024, officers from the Stockport district executed a warrant at an address in Brinnington.
A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested at the address and was subsequently interviewed.
Through diligent police work, Neighbourhood officers submitted evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service, who secured two charges relating to theft of motor vehicles were secured.
The boy was charged yesterday evening and remanded in custody to attend court this morning (Thursday 17 October 2024).
Stockport Chief Inspector John Picton said: “The outstanding work from the Stockport Police Teams continues to go from strength to strength. The momentum increases in tackling criminality and anti-social behaviour, specifically on this occasion involving motorbike-related offences.
“Our teams relentlessly pursue those who harm our communities. The message is clear - criminality and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated. Stockport is a fantastic place to live, work and socialise, criminals are not welcome here.
“I would recommend to our local communities that people can sign up for the Neighbourhood Alert scheme Bee In The Loop, which is your direct line to your neighbourhood policing team.
