Officers are appealing for information following reports of a road traffic collision and attack in Oldham on the evening of the 22nd October2024.
At around 11.35pm, officers responded to reports of a collision between two vehicles on Denton Lane. One man received serious injuries during the incident.
A 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault. Since then, officers have secured the additional arrest of another 22-year-old man on suspicion of assault, in connection with their investigation.
Scenes on Denton Lane, Lansdowne Court, and Apfel Lane were earlier active as officers carried out their initial enquiries.
Detectives investigating the incident are now appealing for information as they continue with their work.
This includes any relevant dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage from the area at around the time of the incident.
Detective Inspector Clare Harrison, from GMP’s Oldham district, said: “We are working to build a full understanding of the incident and seek support from the community in doing this.
"A man has been left with serious injuries and we are investigating all lines of enquiries to establish the full facts in this targeted incident. If anyone has any information relevant to the investigation, please do get in touch with us.”
“You may have seen something, or your CCTV may have captured some of the incident – all the information adds up and helps our work.”
