Officers are appealing for information following the death of a man on tram lines in Salford Quays last night (Sunday 20 October).
At around 10.25pm, officers were called to reports of a man on the tram lines close to the Harbour City Metrolink tram stop. Sadly, the man, aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is believed that the man may have collapsed or fallen onto the tracks, following which he was sadly hit by a tram.
No arrests have been made and an investigation is currently ongoing.
Our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone with information to please come forward. This includes any relevant CCTV footage from the surrounding areas.
