Officers are appealing to speak to this man as we believe he can assist with investigations following the theft of donation boxes of around £400 from Ashton Central Mosque, Hillgate Street, Ashton on Monday 9 September 2024 between 5:30am and 8:45am.
It was reported that a man entered the Mosque through the main doors where he proceeded to take several charity donation boxes containing an estimated £400. Through initial enquiries, officers believe that he attempted to gain entry to the administration office which caused damage to the doors and frames to the value of around £600.
Officers believe this could be linked with several similar burglaries across the country.
If you saw anything suspicious on Hillgate street between 5:30am and 8:45am, or anyone with information, is encouraged to call 101 quoting Log 1254 of 09/09/2024. Alternatively, you can remain anonymous by contacting our independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
