Second man charged after an attack on an 87-year-old on Sunday 15 September 2024

Azizur Rahman (14/02/1985) of Oldham has now been charged with the following offences;
- Kidnap.
- Robbery.
- Section 18 assault.
- Intentional strangulation.
- Threaten a person with a bladed article.
- Pervert course of justice.
- Threats to kill.
He has been remanded into custody ahead of a scheduled appearance at Tameside Magistrates Court today (Wednesday 2 October 2024).
Shohad Miah (30/04/2000) from Royton was also charged with kidnap, grievous bodily harm, robbery and intentional strangulation, on Tuesday 24 September 2024, in relation to this incident.
This charge relates to an incident which saw an 87-year-old man forced into a car, attacked, and thrown out on a dark road in West Yorkshire.
