Officers are appealing for information following reports of a fight outside a business on Market Avenue, Tameside, on Friday night (6th September).
At around 11pm, officers were called out after reports of two men having received stab wounds, which are thankfully not believed to be life-changing or threatening at this time.
A further male involved in the altercation received minor injuries.
Three men aged 40, 32 and 26 were subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault and violent disorder.
Officers investigating the incident are appealing for anyone who may have information to come forward.
Detective Chief Inspector Abdul Kahar of GMP’s Tameside district, said: “These sort of incidents justifiably cause concern in the community, but I want to reassure people that we believe it is an isolated incident with no wider threat to the community.
“While we have three people under arrest, we are still working out the exact sequence of Friday night’s events. I am asking anyone with any information to please come forward.
“This includes anyone who may have witnessed the fight, or has any relevant dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage from the area at around that time.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact us via 101 or the Live Chat function at gmp.police.uk. Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
