Police are appealing for information following an assault in Manchester city centre
At about 1am hours on Wednesday 27 December 2023 police were called to reports of an assault in a bar on Canal Street.
Officers attended and a man was taken to hospital with head injuries. He is still receiving support in relation to the incident.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
CCTV appeal
Detective Inspector Natalie McDonald, of GMP's City of Manchester neighbourhood crime team, said: "This incident has resulted in a man suffering serious head injuries which have impacted significantly on his life.
"We appreciate a considerable amount of time has passed but our investigation is ongoing, and we are doing all that we can to establish the full circumstances of this assault if anyone was present at the time and witnessed anything, please do not hesitate to make contact with police and if anyone recognises the man in the image, please get in touch with us, he may be able to assist us with our enquiries."
