At around 4:50pm on Sunday 17 August 2025, emergency services responded to an incident at Strinesdale Reservoir, Oldham, after reports of a woman getting into difficulty in the water.
Sadly, the body of a woman was recovered. There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
We are appealing for witnesses who may have seen her as she entered the water, and in the moments prior, to come forward and help with our enquiries.
