Our Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for further information following a fatal collision yesterday evening (Tuesday 2 December) on Rochdale Road, Manchester
Officers responded to the incident at around 8:45pm, where an e-bike was travelling down the road and collided with two pedestrians.
The 61-year-old e-bike rider tragically died at the scene, and two pedestrians, aged 48 and 50, have been taken to hospital where they are being treated for minor injuries.
Rochdale Road, Whitemoss Road, and Lionbrow Road were closed off following the incident, but were reopened in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday 3 December).
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit continue their investigation and are asking for anyone with information to please come forward.
This includes anyone who saw the vehicle driving before the collision, witnessed the incident itself, or have dashcam footage of the incident.
