Detectives in Manchester Central Criminal Investigation Department have secured charges as part of their investigation into a double stabbing in Longsight earlier this week.
Shortly before 7pm on Tuesday 4 February 2025, we received reports of a stabbing in the vicinity of Rushford Street and Purcell Street.
The charge comes after an incident where emergency services attended and a 16-year-old boy and a 20-year-old both suffered serious injuries. They both remain in hospital for treatment and their condition is believed to be stable.
Mohammed Ali Saim (30/01/2005) of Aston Avenue has been charged with a Section 18 assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
Adam Benaicha (04/09/2003) of Waverton Road has also been charged with a Section 18 assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
They have both been remanded in custody and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates this morning (Friday 7 February).
