Around 2:30pm yesterday (Monday 10 February), we were called to Ince Green Lane to reports of a stabbing.
A 26-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but at this stage, they are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.
A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He remains in police custody.
The individuals involved were known to each other, and we believe that this was an isolated incident. There is no risk to the wider public.
