Officers from our City of Manchester Central neighbourhood crime team have secured charges against two people after a series of robberies.
Adrecko Mykele Rose (08/06/2002), of Moss Lane West, Trafford, has been charged with seven counts of robbery and possession of a bladed article after being arrested yesterday (25/2/25) and has been remanded to appear in court today.
A 15-year-old male was previously charged with four counts of robbery.
The charges relate to several incidents across the city centre, Hulme and the universities area in February where people reported being threatened with a knife.
Detective Natalie McDonald, of the Central Manchester NCT, said: “We have dedicated robbery teams across the GMP force area and will always take action against perpetrators.
“Stamping out robbery is one of our main priorities across Greater Manchester, and especially in the city where we want residents, students and visitors to feel safe.”
To report an incident or suspicions, please call police on 101 or talk to us via LiveChat at www.gmp.police.uk. Always dial 999 in an emergency.
