Man charged after Whalley Range disturbance

We’ve secured charges following reports of a disturbance on Burford Road at the junction of Withington Road on Thursday 23 January 2025.

Jamal Walker-Bailey (26/05/1999) of Burford Road, Manchester has been charged with six counts of attempted S18 assault and one count each of criminal damage, assault of an emergency worker, possession of cannabis and possession of a bladed article in public.

He is appearing in Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court this morning (Saturday 25 January 2025).
