Officers are appealing for information following reports of a sexual assault in Timperley on Thursday 16 January.
At around 4.50pm, a woman was approached from behind on Canal Road where she was subsequently sexually assaulted.
Investigators are now hoping to identify the man in the two images. It is believed he could have information that could assist with their enquiries.
