Prolific shoplifter Jason Wadsworth (13/07/1995) of no fixed abode was sentenced to four months in prison and was handed a three year Criminal Behaviour Order on Friday 3 January 2024.
Wandsworth was found guilty of 29 shoplifting offences at Manchester & Salford Magistrates Court after a series of thefts in the Farnworth area.
The Criminal Behaviour Order that was handed to him prevents Wadsworth from entering a number of supermarket stores in Farnsworth and Kearsley.
This order was applied for by officers in the Bolton Neighbourhood Policing Team due to his conviction of 29 theft offences over the last 12 months.
The Bolton South Neighbourhood Team have in additional secured a three year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) against him which will last until 2028. This prohibits Wadsworth from entering a number of retail premises across Farnworth and Kearsley in Bolton.
If you are aware that he has breached this Criminal Behaviour Order, any breaches in this order should be reported to police.

Sergeant Jessica Prudent of Bolton’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “If Wadsworth is found to have breached any of the conditions that have been placed on him, he will be put back in jail.
“His offending has blighted the local community for the last few years and he has caused ongoing issues for retail staff as well as for shoppers who were simply going about their daily business.
“As a team we have worked hard to only bring Wadsworth to justice but have robust structures in place following his release and we hope this can provide reassurance to the local community that we are doing all we can to deter criminality like this from occurring.
“The Criminal Behaviour Order comes from partnership work between Bolton’s Policing Team, Farnworth Retail Partnership and members of the public who have provided information that led to Wadsworth's arrest.
“If anyone has any information about Wadsworth breaching the restrictions of the Criminal Behaviour Order, contact us on gmp.police.uk or alternatively, information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
