Officers are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Cheetham Hill.
The incident occurred on Galsworthy Avenue at around 2:10pm yesterday (Friday 7 November 2025).
A group of up to five people were seen kicking and punching another person, who is yet to be identified.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault, violent disorder, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of class A drugs (cocaine) and is currently in police custody.
Investigators are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to assist with their enquiries.
They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, mobile phone and CCTV footage from the area in the moments leading up to the incident.
